Lighthouse School is a member of MAAPS, The Massachusetts Association of Approved Special Education Schools. It serves over 200 children from across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. We have kids from across the whole spectrum of age, from 3 to 22 and covering a range of diagnostic profiles (see student demographics). We are proud to be a safety net for so many kids. We are one school, one team, located on one site, and we provide unique experiences for our students.
We have four programs designed to provide services that are both academic and treatment oriented to maximise the life success of the students who are at different ages and stages of biodevelopmental growth:
Grades PK-8
- Lower Elementary PK-5
- Upper Elementary 6-8
Grades 9-12
- Lower Secondary 9-10
- Upper Secondary (Transitional Services) 11+
Note: Transitional Services include Life Skills and Vocational Experiences.
