At Lighthouse School, staff are our greatest resource, and our recruiting and hiring processes reflect that. We carefully review all correspondence we receive and utilize a multi-step process as we consider adding new members to our team, determining whether each candidate is a fit at every step along the way. During our hiring process, candidates may have the opportunity to meet our staff and students, as well as experience various parts of our program and learn more about the services we provide. The steps may vary depending on the individual candidate, but the first contact you will receive if we are interested in moving forward after reviewing all of your information will be a request to set up a phone interview.

Ultimately, should a mutual decision be made that you are a match to join the team at Lighthouse School®, we will conduct a state-mandated background investigation (CORI). This process will also include fingerprinting, as well as employment and educational verification.

Once hired, you will be involved in a very comprehensive orientation training process of at least four weeks. This training will ensure that we devote the time necessary to quickly assimilate you positively into our culture and to provide you with the fundamental tools and training necessary to become a contributing member of the team. You will work closely with a "primary" staff person in addition to receiving hands-on training. This staff person will be there to support you throughout this period and beyond to help you become familiar with Lighthouse School practices and standards. Your training will include CPR, First Aid, Case Management, Communication, Crisis Intervention, and APEX® Methodology.™

Congratulations -- you will be joining a very special team providing very needed services for kids!
