Lighthouse School is a school and a treatment center. Lessons and activities throughout the clusters are varied, engaging and bioeducational, designed to further the biodevelopment of our students. Monthly themes are woven into learning experiences. Below is a summary of what our students have learned about and accomplished this past month:

June Bioeducational Newsletter

It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is upon us! June certainly flew by with special lessons within our homerooms and celebratory events with our larger Lighthouse School family. Our annual Transition Ceremony was the perfect opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of our graduating and transitioning students. We all enjoyed cheering them on as they enter the next chapter of their lives. Then, in small group processes, students reflected back upon the year and discussed their hopes and dreams for the future.

As always, our annual Field Day proved to be an unforgettable day for our students and staff. Our inflatable slide, petting zoo, bounce house, and scavenger hunts were tremendously fun for all. Of course, the opportunity to dunk a favorite teacher in the dunk tank was a particular favorite. This day is truly special because it gives our students the opportunity to step away from the daily routine to experience fun and laughter, and to make lasting memories.

It is always bittersweet to say goodbye to a school year. We are so proud of our students for all of their hard work this year and so very thankful to have you all in our Lighthouse family.

We wish you a happy and healthy summer break!
