Finding positive outcomes for tragic events like those of September 11 is a challenging task, but one that the staff and students at Lighthouse have approached with caring and commitment. As part of APEX Bioeducation, all students participate in a positive reinforcement program. Beginning Thursday September 20, students had the opportunity to donate reinforcers (tokens), which will then be exchanged into cash to be sent to the American Red Cross. At an exchange rate of 1 penny for each token. When the Goal of 50,000 tokens is reached the school will donate $500.00 to the American Red Cross.
